All Summer Long:

  • Build a Better World Paperbag Challenge: Ages 4-12
Each week visit the library and take home a bag full of materials to solve a different challenge.  Results can be recorded with a drawing, photo, or video, and then brought into the librarian to receive a small prize.
  • Summer Reading Log: All ages
Get your free log and activity sheet!  Keep track of the books you read (or that are read to you) and activities that you do all summer.  Return these sheets to the MCL before August 25 for free prizes.  You can check in each week or wait until the end of summer.

Events for the whole family:

  • Fairy & Elf Garden Building - Saturday, June 24, 10:30-12 at the Arlington Rec Park
Join us along the walking path at the Rec Park to create a fairy & elf garden space, using all natural materials (found or brought).  Together we'll read a short story & then start creating!  Don't forget your bug & tick repellent.  Bring a picnic lunch if you want to stay after the program.
  • Learn about the Solar Eclipse - Saturday, August 5, 1-2 pm
