About Your Library
Our name is the Martha Canfield Memorial Free Library. What does the word "free" mean to your family and your community?
It means you can borrow any book here for free.
It means your non-profit group can meet here in the community room for free.
It means that your children can come to story time, sing songs, enjoy crafts and have a snack for free.
It means that your children can spend time doing puzzles and playing board games here for free.
It means you can connect to the internet and use computers here for free.
It means you can relax in the Reading Room and read to your heart's content for free.
It means you can borrow passes to parks and other venues for free.
It means you can learn about the rich history of our beautiful state by visiting the Russell Collection, for free.
It means that all of us can be educated on any subject, at any time, for free.
Yes, the Martha Canfield Memorial Free Library is all of this and more.
So come on in!

Computer Tutoring
Computer tutoring is available with an AMHS student, who will meet you at the library. To schedule an appointment, call 802-375-2929 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Fundraising
We are in the process of raising money to finance painting the outside of the library this coming spring. Won't you help by donating money to purchase a gallon of paint? Paper paint cans will be posted with each donor's name. We would like our building to look its finest for our 20th anniversary celebration in June 2016.
